Esterhazy
„At Esterházy, one looks back on a centuries-old tradition of winegrowing in the northern Burgenland. In 1758, with Monsieur LeBon, a cellar master from Burgundy, Esterházy brought Pinot Noir to Burgenland and, for the first time, produced wines made from a single grape variety. The newly built winery in Trausdorf, established in 2006, is located right at the center of the nearly 65 hectares of vineyards. Over 30 hectares were planted with the best grape varieties and rootstocks after numerous soil and site analyses. For this, the best vines were selected and propagated from the oldest vineyards. In 2019, with the arrival of Frank Schindler as the estate manager, the vineyards switched to organic farming. In the team of chief oenologist Robert Krammer, there are no taboos! With passion and expertise, balanced, precise, and multi-layered wines are produced here.
