The irx water is bottled quality drinking water. It comes from the Mühlviertler Martinsquelle, which is located in Pierbach, near Bad Zell, in the Mühlviertel. There the pure water rises from a spring from the primary rock massif, the Weinberger granite, which was formed in the Tertiary period. It comes to light as an artesian spring in a protected area of ​​the Mühlviertler Alm. The untouched nature there contributes significantly to uncontaminated spring water. The quality water is particularly suitable for tea and coffee, for baby food as well as in the catering industry and distilleries. The irx water has a low hardness of around 1 dH. This value is only rarely achieved with natural water. It is also mild, low in lime and sodium and extremely pure with high dissolving power.

THE HISTORY OF WATER:

In the late 1970s, the Irxenmayr family was looking for a place to retreat so they could spend some time away from the body shop. They found what they were looking for in 1980 with an old farm in the beautiful Mühlviertel. Since then, the family has been very connected to the soothing environment. During the hard work of renovation, Waltraud Irxenmayr in particular always raved about this water. So the family always brought fresh water home and used it for drinking and cooking. Friends and acquaintances were also impressed and also got water. In 1991, Franz Irxenmayr had the water subjected to an extensive examination. About two years later, the family read an article by a pediatrician describing how water would be desirable for babies and the human organism. The analysis was taken out of the drawer and the Irxenmayr family contacted the doctor in question, who was thrilled to find such a rarity. Franz Irxenmayr founded the company in 1995. At that time the family didn't have a name for the water - over time the buyers gave it the name.
