The vision of a young winemaker 

The story of Miss Rósy begins at the Strohmaier winery in Pölfing-Brunn, right in the heart of western Styria. Here, in the home of the famous Schilcher, Katrin Strohmaier grew up. Introduced to the world of winemaking from an early age, she developed a deep passion for wine and the rich traditions of her region. This passion led her to pursue a dream as a young winemaker: creating a unique product that reflects the essence of her homeland. Schilcher, an indigenous grape variety from Western Styria, should play a central role. It was clear to Katrin that this special wine should not only be enjoyed neat, but also presented in a new form. The idea of a Schilcher vermouth was born - a new interpretation of the classic vermouth with a Styrian twist. 

The path to perfection 

The path to realization was not an easy one. Over 100 recipes have been tried, each with a carefully selected blend of herbs to achieve the perfect taste. The entire Strohmaier family was involved in the process, and numerous tastings were held to work out the finest nuances. It was a year full of dedication, joy of experimentation and tireless work. Finally, after many hours of trying and perfecting, the time had come: Miss Rósy was born. 

Aroma & design

Miss Rósy impresses with its fruity freshness and tangy lightness, which is rounded off by a harmonious mixture of ten select herbs. The elegant bottle, decorated with a floral design, is a real eye-catcher and underlines the unique character of the drink. Miss Rósy is more than just a vermouth; it is an expression of Styrian culture and passion that comes to life in every bottle.

Since launching in 2020, Miss Rósy has captured the hearts of vermouth lovers around the world. The unique quality and incomparable taste have been honored with numerous national and international awards, including gold medals at the World Vermouth Award in Great Britain, the AWC Award, the CWWSC in Spain, the Frankfurt International Trophy and many more. With Miss Rósy, Katrin Strohmaier has not only created an outstanding product, but has also received significant recognition. She was honored as “Head of the Year,” an award for her creative pioneering work in vermouth. She also received an honor as “Styrian of the Day” for outstanding achievements and contributions to the region. The “Regionality Prize” honors the promotion of local traditions, and Katrin was named “Styrian Entrepreneur of the Year” for entrepreneurial success and innovative spirit. These awards confirm the high quality of Miss Rósy and the commitment to Styrian culture.
