And this is how you can prepare a poppy seed filling:
Grind the poppy seeds in the mill and bring them to the boil in milk; after they have cooled, stir in the sugar. To make the poppy seed filling thick, add ground gingerbread or breadcrumbs. Season to taste with rum, cinnamon, mace, honey, plum puree, lemon peel and cloves.

The poppy seed mill is available in blue, red or beige, depending on availability.
