Description

Emmer is considered a husked grain. The casing offers the grain excellent protection and remains naturally packaged until further processing. This husk is removed in a separate operation. To turn it into rice, the grain is “ground” in a further process so that it swells more easily during cooking. Its spicy flavors make it suitable as a side dish for various meat dishes or for baking cakes, waffles, pizza or dumplings. When cooked, the grains can also be used for stews or risotto.
