It is correct to speak here of a wax and not an oil. This high-quality plant product is used for cosmetic as well as industrial purposes. It contains provitamin A and vitamin E and, thanks to its favorable fatty acid composition, not only cares for facial skin and is suitable for all skin types. With jojoba oil you can protect the skin from drying out without leaving a greasy film, but at the same time it is “light” and absorbs very well. It has a very faint smell and is often used as a massage oil and in hair care. Jojoba oil has a natural sun protection factor of three to four and is therefore often used as a base oil for sun oils or to be mixed with essential oils. It is also often used in the production of homemade cosmetics because of its positive properties. Jojoba oil is extremely stable to oxidation (lasts a very long time and does not go rancid) and contributes to the stabilization of oil mixtures, increases the elasticity of the skin and reliably protects it against moisture loss for a long time. In addition, it behaves like a consistency agent and co-emulsifier in emulsions, making it ideal for use in eye care products.
