A survey of 1,100 young people in April 2017 showed that for most young people, female menstruation is still a massive taboo topic. The result is a lack of knowledge about the cause and treatment options for period pain as well as about the health and ecological effects of menstrual hygiene and, last but not least, the isolation of girls during their periods.
